Dr. Santiago Garcia, ACC-MN Board Member, recently participated in discussions with 23 other Minnesota medical groups to provide recommendations to the Minnesota Department of Health on how to resume non-essential/elective surgeries and procedures.

In part, the recommendations reads:
"We support plans to permit the delivery of all medically necessary care, as determined by physicians or other appropriate professionals acting within their applicable scopes of practice, that preserves life, prevents disease or long-term disability, preserves or improves health, or preserves or improves quality of life when more conservative approaches or delay are considered inappropriate."
